» OVERALL HISTORICAL BACKGROUND ' David was born in Albany, New York to semi-wealthy and had one younger brother. When he was 8, they moved to New York City. His life was typical of a kid in NY as he grew up and made friends and learned about life. He dated a few girls in his teenage years as he was popular and athletic. He played basketball in high school and then decided to join the military. He was in the Air Force from age 18 to 24. While serving, he discovered a love for politics, and began studying through the Air Force. Eventually he transferred his studies to Harvard and graduated, though barely. He wasn't the smartest. However, David eventually became Secretary of Defense for the United States. He met a girl and they fell in love. They were engage for three months until they broke it off and lost contact with each other. Dave was traveling a lot and tried to forget about her but she was always in the back of his mind.

Then the attacks happened. As Secretary of Defense, David had to plan something, so he gathered the greatest minds he could find and set them to work. No one knew what they were or what they wanted. Finally, a scientist from Japan discovered the weakness by testing an alien they'd captured. Common illness. The aliens hadn't been introduced to it before and were not immune. Finally, they defeated the aliens. David learned that he'd been voted to take control as a sort of president, though there were no countries anymore. David has been trying to keep as much order as he can in rebuilding.
