» OVERALL HISTORICAL BACKGROUND ' Skylar was born in Denver, CO. She was raised an only child and was somewhat spoiled. As a child, she was rather mean and had few friends. Just before her freshman year, her family moved away from the city and Skylar had to go to a different school district. She realized that with the way she'd treated kids in middle school, she wasn't going to make any friends and was forced to change her ways. She became a nice person that everyone wanted to be around. She graduated as valedictorian and got a scholarship to the university in Denver.

While Skylar was studying to be a chef, a group of her friends and classmates decided to take a trip to Paris to get a firsthand experience of French food and culture. They had been in Paris for two weeks when news of the attacks happened. Unable to get a flight out, due to the pandemonium and everyone trying to fly home, they were stuck there for another week. Finally, as the attacks hit Europe, Skylar and her friends were able to get out of Paris. From their plane, they were able to see the destruction. When they got home, they learned that Paris had been hit the day after they left. Sky was not taking it well. She was convinced that she was supposed to die in Paris, and has been afraid of dying since. The attacks hit the East coast, so Skylar left Colorado and headed for the west coast. She made it to California by the time the aliens were killed, and doesn't know where her parents are.
